I’m dreaming of a sweet or savory Kugel … Just like the ones I used to know.

kugleCULINARY IN ISRAEL … As the August temperatures dipped momentarily in Philly, am I the only one who craved KUGEL? (Israeli Jewish sweet noodle pudding) Kugels can be savory or sweet and originated with Ashkenazi Jews, those from Eastern Europe. Kugles are often served at Sabbath meals and for Jewish holidays all over the world. Sometimes spelled kigel, my favorite variation is sweet and studded with chopped fruit. A great big hunk of YUM!
