THE JEWISH WORLD … “Head (of) the Year” to us all.
Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year and literally translated above, is the first of the High Holy Days or “Yamin Nora’im” (Days of Awe) Shanah Tovah! Have an AWEsome Holiday!
Usually occuring in the early autumn of the Northern Hemisphere this two day celebration of the first man and woman traces their first actions toward the realization of mankind’s role in God’s world. Rosh Hashanah customs include sounding the “Shofar”, the hollowed out rams horn shown. Apples dipped in honey evoke a “sweet new year”.
