The 19th Maccabiah Games are happening right NOW! Opening July 17 to July 30, 2013 The Maccabiah Games are held every 4 years in
Israel the year following the Olympics. This year, more that 7,000 world-class atheletes from more than 50 countries will be participating. This year is proving to be the largest and most exciting ever held.
Gil Travel is currently very personally involved at the games with over 2,100 people attending and helping to continue to develop this exciting and important event. The purpose of Maccabiah is two-fold: To help Israel to develop as a nation through physical education and sport. To enrich lives, to heighten their sense of Jewish identity and to strengthen their feelings of Jewish pride.
