The History of Israel's MACCABIAH GAMES: July 17 to 30, 2013

The 19th World Maccabiah Games is a celebration of Jewish unity, culture and heritage through world athletic competition. Everything from Ice Hockey to Tennis for everyone in every age group. Since its inception in 1932, the Maccabiah Games have grown in many ways but the vibrant feelings and the excitement experienced by participants remains the same. Since 1953 the games have been held every four years all over Israel in the year following the Olympics. The Maccabiah Games are officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee.
