Yad Avshalom or Absalom's pillar is one of the more famous and impressive tombs found in the Kidron Valley. The structure with the conical dome was identified for years in Jerusalem tradition as the burial site of Avshalom, the rebellious son of King David about who we are told in the Bible that he built himself a monument in the Valley of the King.
